ETLs Together

One of my friends (actually, she’s the girlfriend of one of my college friends) lives pretty close to my Target. She is currently unemployed (she was laid off a couple months ago), so I asked her if she wanted to hang out with me during the day before I went to work.

We met up at my Target a little after lunch. I was talking to the ETLs (I like to talk to the people I know while they’re working) when my friend found me. The funny thing is that she was wearing the Target uniform — a red shirt with khakis!

The ETLs thought she worked for Target! I half-jokingly mentioned that she was looking for a job and had a bachelor’s degree. The LOD asked what the degree was in, and she said her degree was in business. The LOD said my friend should apply to be an ETL and gave her name and email address to my friend. Having a friend train to be an ETL with me would be so much fun!

Since my friend has only been dating my college friend for a few months, I haven’t had much chance to really get to know her. I’m calling her “my friend” here for simplicity, though I do feel like she’s my friend now too. We ended up spending four hours together, just talking about anything and everything. If I wasn’t gay, I would be such a player.
