I’ve mentioned before that Ugly Betty is the best show ever, but I think I may have spoken too soon. While Ugly Betty is definitely one of my favorite shows, I’m not sure if any show can ever top I Love Lucy.
The other day, I saw the episode “The Ricardos Visit Cuba” (from season six) where Lucy meets Ricky’s family and has to impress Uncle Alberto. At the end of the episode, Little Ricky joins his dad to perform Babalu. Here is the clip from that episode:
Little Ricky (Keith Thibodeaux) is just about the best child actor Hollywood has ever seen. Not only is he the cutest kid, but he could play the drums remarkably well, even when he was five years old! It’s about as rare as finding Jamie Bell for the role of Billy Elliot.
I actually mostly like I Love Lucy because of Lucille Ball and all the insane things she says and does, but I saw how cute Little Ricky was in that episode and just had to put up the video for it. I’ll try to put up other classic Lucy moments if the mood ever strikes me again.
