Gaping Holes

My teeth extraction wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The dentist ended up deciding on taking all four wisdom teeth out, not just two. Three of the four were really easy to take out; I didn’t even feel anything (hooray for anesthesia). The last one was a little harder, but it was still mostly painless. The whole process only took half an hour, even though the dentist had reserved an hour and a half. I’m sort of lightheaded, but I’m feeling very little pain, though I am taking Advil.

The surprising thing was that I got stitches for the bottom two gaping holes in my mouth. When my brother got his wisdom teeth out, he used a water syringe to get out all the food particles that ended up in his gaping holes. It was disgusting. I’m really glad I don’t have to go through that. I have to go back in a week to get the stitches removed, but that’s still much better than the alternative.

My diet today consists of mostly ice cream with some jello and pudding. I was eating yogurt earlier, but it seemed like my mouth was hurting more from it. Maybe it was from the sourness or the bacteria in the yogurt. I hope I don’t get infected from yogurt.
